Āyurvedic Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation, we will go over your detailed health history. Together we craft a personal wellness program, based on your goals. All recommendations are personalized for your constitution and current state of imbalance.

  • One of our goals at Amogha Ayurveda is to trace the sources of illness to their root cause

  • We offer a sensitive and confidential environment

  • We take a good assessment of your medical history, diet, lifestyle, pulse, tongue, face, and nails to determine your original constitution (Prakrti) and current state of doshic balance (Vikrti). This may vary based on what your concerns are and if the visit is in person or online

 Your Āyurvedic Consultation can include:

  • Nutrition, and dietary strategy

  • Vedic Astrology Chart Overview (optional)

  • Lifestyle recommendations based on daily Āyurvedic routines

  • Personalized herbal formulations

  • General recommendations for yoga asanas and breathing practices.  (A more personalized yoga plan can be crafted in a therapeutic yoga follow-up consult)

  • Recommendations for other Āyurvedic therapies like Abhyaṇga,  Marma, Vasti, and Panchakarma, as well as other specific modalities can be indicated for your specific condition

  • Referrals to specialists are given when appropriate and helpful

After your consultation, you will be given educational handouts and a write-out of the recommendations to enhance your understanding of your protocol and integrate these changes into your life

Healthy Weight Consultation

Āyurvedic medicine believes that being overweight or underweight is the result of an imbalance of one or more of the three doshas.

Here are some components of the healthy weight consultation. These are based on Āyurvedic principles and philosophies and are intended to naturally and gently steer you toward holistic and healthy weight management without the use of chemicals, fillers, limiting diets, extreme exercising, or starvation.

Understanding the current state of your doshas can help determine what foods and lifestyle choices are the healthiest for you. This can then enable you to make educated choices that lead to a healthy weight for your body type.

  • Eating practices to enhance digestion, absorption, and elimination of foods

  • Exercise for your dosha

  • Food combining

  • Correct fluid intake based on your natural constitution

  • Fasting and for who?

Once you know your dosha and have adapted to living in a way that meets your biological needs rather than disturbing them, you will arrive at the perfect weight for you, naturally. Eating in harmony with your dosha will enable you to eventually do away with unhealthy food cravings, low energy, and poor self-esteem will naturally fade away. Replacing these eating habits will give a renewed sense of enthusiasm, a high increase in energy, and healthy emotional well-being.
